Come start the morning slow and creatively by making your very own pottery from scratch!

A beautiful morning to enjoy with your mum, grandma, aunt, friend.. or simply treat yourself. Unwind and take this time to use your hands to create something that is handmade by you!

This workshop will explore hand building techniques including coiling, pinch pots, attaching handles and more to help you create your very own pottery piece/s. In this session, you will by guided by ceramic artist, Leia to form a piece that is functional as well as unique.

Beginner friendly, no experience needed - just bring yourself and your love for getting your hands messy!

What’s included:

• All clay, tools, and materials

• Kiln & glaze firing of 1–2 handcrafted pieces

• All work glazed in a glaze of your choice (options available on the day)

• Complimentary coffee, tea and pastries to share

Important info:

• Clay can be messy! We recommend wearing clothing you don’t mind getting a bit messy in or bringing an apron - don’t worry, it washes out!

• Processing time: 4–8 weeks for firing and glazing. We’ll notify you when your piece is ready for collection.

• Collection window: Items must be collected within 4 weeks of notification. If you are unable to pick up your piece/s, please nominate a friend to do so for you.

• All pottery is fired and glazed in our studio. Collection from North Perth Lesser Hall location.

Accessibility info:

The main entrance is accessed via a small set of stairs. An accessible entrance is located to the side of the building and accessible toilets are located in the shared space between the North Perth Lesser Hall and North Perth Town Hall.
